Bond Reporting

print
An individual can be ordered to report to the Probation Department for supervision if granted a bond prior to his/her sentencing.  The Bond Officer will enforce the conditions ordered by the sentencing judge which the defendant is expected to adhere to until sentencing.  Should a defendant violate his conditions of bond, the prosecutor’s office will be notified and the bond can be revoked.  The sentencing judge will take into consideration whether or not the defendant was compliant during his bond supervision and will often use this adjustment period as an indicator as to whether or not the individual was capable of following the court’s orders.
